Bill de Blasio has some fancy friends - many of which he has appointed to his inauguration committee.
Gabrielle Fialkoff, who is the president and chief operating officer of Haskell Jewels, has been chosen by the New York mayor-elect to act as his Chair of Inauguration.
In this position, Fialkoff will lead the politician's inauguration committee, a star-studded, 73-member group consisting of "Sex and the City" actress Sarah Jessica Parker, "Boardwalk Empire" actor Steve Buscemi, "Dead Man Walking" actress Susan Sarandon, singer-songwriter Harry Belafonte and more.
As de Blasio's Chair of Inauguration, Fialkoff will help plan the mayor-to-be's official welcome, which will begin with the official swearing in at midnight on December 31, as well as the ceremonial swearing in that follows the next day.
